Bharat Tex 2026 – Day 2: Bihar Pavilion Attracts Strong Interest from Policymakers, Industry Leaders and Investors

New Delhi : On the second day of Bharat Tex 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, the Bihar Pavilion continued to witness strong interest from policymakers, industry leaders, investors, buyers and visitors from India and abroad. Established by the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, the pavilion presents a comprehensive showcase of the state's progressive industrial policies, investment opportunities, strengths in the textile and apparel sector, and its rich portfolio of GI-tagged products and traditional crafts.
Senior Dignitaries Visit the Bihar Pavilion
The Bihar Pavilion was visited by Dr. M. Beena, Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India; ; Smt. Rohini Sindhuri Dasari, IAS, Secretary (Textiles), Commerce & Industries Department, Government of Karnataka; Shri Amit Prakash Yadav, IAS, Industries Commissioner, Government of Gujarat, & Shri Bhadresh Dodhia, Co-Chairman, Organising Committee, Bharat Tex. The dignitaries were received in the presence of Dr. Bidya Nand Singh, Director, Directorate of Handloom & Sericulture, and Shri Mukul Kumar Gupta, Director of Industries, Government of Bihar.
During their visit, the dignitaries explored Bihar's textile and apparel ecosystem, including its GI-tagged products, traditional handicrafts, Bhagalpuri Silk and other exhibits showcased at the pavilion. They appreciated the state's progressive industrial policies, investor-friendly ecosystem and the vast opportunities in Bihar's textile sector while interacting with departmental officials and exhibitors.
Department of Industries Takes Bihar's Investment Story Across the Exhibition
On the second day of the event, the team from the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar actively engaged with investors, industry representatives, buyers and entrepreneurs across various exhibition halls, highlighting Bihar's rapidly evolving industrial ecosystem. The team disseminated information on the Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Package (BIIPP) 2025, the Revised Bihar Textile & Leather Policy 2025, plug-and-play industrial infrastructure, industrial land availability, MSME incentives and other investor-centric initiatives of the State Government. Prospective investors and business delegates were also invited to visit the Bihar Pavilion to explore the state's manufacturing capabilities and investment opportunities.
Throughout the remaining days of Bharat Tex 2026, the Bihar Pavilion continues to present the state's industrial capabilities, investment potential and the vision of "Bihar is Ready" before national and international investors, buyers and leaders of the global textile and apparel industry.
